Wine need not be stuffy or pretentious; it’s a personal preference after all and drinking wine should never be an intimidating experience. Our staff at Residual Sugar are relaxed, informed, and incredibly passionate about what we do. We readily share our comments, suggestions and observations with each guest to help find the perfect selection for their palate. We strive to inspire every person that walks through our doors in hopes of transporting them to another part of the world if only for a moment.

ARTISANAL CHEESES & CHARCUTERIE

Residual Sugar offers a variety of cheeses and charcuterie from all around the world; from decadent Brillat Savarin to bitey Diavola Salumi, we stop at nothing to bring the best, freshest cheeses and meats to the East Bay. Our staff provide side-by-side pairings to accompany each wine, as well as impart guest education about each selection.

In addition to our charcuterie and cheese offerings, Residual Sugar is one of the very few North American locations with an expansive conserva program. This seafood is caught, pressed and packed with zero interruptions; some of the freshest seafood offerings coming directly from Portugal, Spain, and Washington.

Located in the beautiful downtown area of Walnut Creek, as well as the gorgeous Veranda outdoor center, Residual Sugar brings together one of a kind, indigenous wine varietals from France, Spain, Italy, Greece, Austria and beyond to the hands and hearts of our curious guests. Featuring over 30 wines available by the glass, Residual Sugar has one of the most extensive and eclectic wine lists this side of the tunnel.
